Building Community 2019 Partner – Goodwill of Central & Southern Indiana
Each year our employees come together to amplify the impact of a nonprofit partner, improving lives and building community.
For 2019 we chose Goodwill of Central & Southern Indiana for our day of service. We are passionate about Goodwill’s mission of working towards an Indianapolis (and beyond) where everyone is empowered to increase their independence and reach their potential.
Browning competed against our friends at Indiana Biosciences Research Institute (IBRI) in a clothing donation drive. Each of the 108 bags generated a $5 Goodwill gift vouchers that we presented to Flanner House, a community center on the Near Northwest with a similar mission of empowering individuals, children, and families towards stabilization, and self-sufficiency.
We wrapped up our competition by having a service-learning day at the Goodwill Outlet East to learn more about how donations are processed, but more importantly to learn about the impact Goodwill has on our community and neighbors.
For our 2019 holiday celebration, Browning donated to Goodwill of Central and Southern Indiana to support 150 people with a personal job coach.
