South Atlantic Packaging Expands to Indianapolis in New Browning Facility

Browning announces that I-465 East, its new 128,000-square-foot speculative office/warehouse at I-465 and Pendleton Pike, has been fully leased to South Atlantic Packaging as they expand into the Indianapolis market.

“The past few months, we’ve been growing on all fronts—in production space, leadership and staff, and operations. In response to customer requests, our latest expansion is a new enterprise facility in Indianapolis, Indiana,” said Julian Bossong, CEO of South Atlantic Packaging. “Indianapolis better prepares us to serve current and future customers in the Midwest with quality and agility as we pursue our mission to become ‘America’s go-to contract packager.’”

South Atlantic Packaging highlighted site features like being in a recognized opportunity zone, close to a ready, available labor force and public transportation as key factors in their decision.  The building also features unparalleled visibility with 800’ of I-465 frontage along the most traveled section of interstate in Central Indiana.

“Browning developed and constructed this facility knowing we would find a great tenant as it offered companies engaged in warehousing and distribution unparalleled advantages,” said Mark Susemichel, chief development officer at Browning. “Being located along I-465 just south of the Pendleton Pike exit, South Atlantic Packaging will benefit from superior highway access, proximity to the Lawrence Trade District, ample amenities and housing options, quality schools, and public transportation – all of which are helping attract and ensure workforce availability, accessibility and stability.”

Browning was represented by Mark Writt of CBRE and South Atlantic Packaging was represented by Chris Black of CBRE.

Additional office/warehouse spaces are currently under construction and available for lease in AllPoints Midwest (Plainfield, IN), AirTech (Plainfield, IN), and Velocity 65 (Shepherdsville, KY).  Parties interested in build-to-suit opportunities are also invited to contact Browning.
