Grand Opening of Continuum at Discovery Park District

West Lafayette, IN – Browning Real Estate Partners and J.C. Hart welcomed stakeholders and residents on October 4th to celebrate the grand opening of Continuum, a luxury apartment community designed to appeal to the growing employment base of young professionals wishing to live in the heart of the Discovery Park District, directly adjacent to Purdue University.

In addition to the project team several local officials and stakeholders were also in attendance. Rep. Chris Campbell, City Clerk Sana Booker, Bob Schafstall from the Greater Lafayette Commerce, and Jeremy Slater from the Purdue Research Foundation provided remarks, recognizing Continuum’s impact to the district and community at large.

“Every corner and façade of this building is thoughtful – how it interacts with the street, how it interacts with the park, where the retails spaces are.  Continuum is a true representation of the district plan and what we envision in 2016,” Jeremy Slater, Vice President of Capital Projects & Facilities at the Purdue Research Foundation.

Continuum was developed and constructed as a joint venture between Browning and J.C. Hart in collaboration with the Purdue Research Foundation to provide an essential housing component necessary for the district’s master plan Browning helped PRF create in 2016.  Designed to have an urban neighborhood feel and create a community where young professionals can live near Purdue University in non-student-oriented housing.

“This has been an amazing opportunity to a true public-private partnership (the city, PRF, developers, and university) all coming together to make this component of the district happen. The unsung hero of all these projects is the infrastructure – the utilities you don’t see, the streetscapes you do see.”  Adam Chavers, Chief Development Officer at Browning Real Estate Partners

The property is fully-leased and features a workout facility, club room with game tables, coffee house, and a fully equipped kitchen. In addition to these amenities, there is an outdoor pool and gathering space with grill area for residents to enjoy.   The 354-space parking structure is wrapped by the residential component and provides residents with easy access to the building corridors and reserved retail parking.  For more information about leasing at Continuum please visit www.homeiscontinuum.com

“Continuum is an example of what you can achieve when you have clear vision and collaboration.  If you understand the clear vision of PRF, Purdue University and Browning and then look out these windows and see what they have created and are creating, it’s just phenomenal,” Todd May, Senior Vice President of Development at J.C. Hart
