Building Community 2018 Partner – Indianapolis Neighborhood Housing Partnership
Each year our employees come together to amplify the impact of a nonprofit partner, improving lives and building community.
In 2018 we chose the Indianapolis Neighborhood Housing Partnership© (INHP©) for our day of service. We are passionate about INHP‘s mission of working towards an Indianapolis where everyone has the opportunity to live in a safe, decent, and affordable home in a thriving neighborhood.
Browning employees volunteered more than 210 hours to make improvements to the home of Kelly, a single mom raising two daughters who had recently completed INHP’s Homeownership Preparation program to qualify for a mortgage and purchase a home. While Kelly was away, our volunteers constructed and furnished many exterior and interior improvements to the home, including fencing, landscaping, and new furniture. The changes will also help add value and stability to Kelly’s home and neighborhood. Our employees were honored by INHP as the Outstanding Volunteer Group of the Year
Our project day with INHP inspired us to spread the holiday spirit by empowering more future homeowners. In celebration of the 2018 holiday season, Browning donated to INHP’s Homeownership Preparation program, to help qualify 200 families for homeownership so next year they can celebrate the holidays at home.
