Acorn Distributors

Browning helped develop and constructed a build-to-suit distribution facility for Acorn Distribution, a family-owned and certified Women’s Business Enterprise founded in 1976, that supplies janitorial materials, such as paper products and cleaners.

The distributor needed to grow its warehouse facility on the west side of Indianapolis but was unable to find suitable land near its current location.  Browning provided Acorn development services – securing a site, then assisting with rezoning, variances, as well as filing for a 10-year tax abatement.  Browning simultaneously constructing the Acorn’s new facility and an adjacent speculative 238,000 square foot commercial building.

The new facility has been designed for greater efficiency at an ideal site for a distributor with interstate access in a growing community.
